Deprogrammed - "I used audacity to make the track. The only effect I used is reverb. The files I used as source were mostly shortcuts from different programs, some of them I pitch shifted a little to add variety."

Dò+µ•¿‘+È∫W« (noise for databending)
Databending is a concept that revolves around the alteration of art through re-arranging some of its content. This can be done in the physical realm with tapes, records, or even scratching a cd. It can be done in the digital world with granulation, or turning a jpeg into an audio file. Here, the good people at noiseguide have compiled some great data bent noise and HNW, etc, that use this fascinating process. Every track on this release is a goldmine of creativity and originality. Here, 16 tracks by 9 noise artists really encompass the sounds that can be made from literally anything and everything. Unicorn gun is muddled, muddy fun. Holy Filament is in fine form with a jpeg alteration of batman entitled "Gotham sunbather", and we get two great tracks from Somnaphon! I love this release, and encourage anyone reading this review to download it right away!
